Not only is Newhall Fields a SNAP authorized vendor but also the farm is now HIP approved!!!

There are three more dates open to take home a farm fresh box of produce and pay with their SNAP benefits and/or Farmer’s Market coupons.

October 20

You can select a different dollar value / size for each produce box: $10, $15, and $25.

Wednesday, July 13th, we had the Target Group senior Leadership team out on the farm. Our farm was their first volunteer activity in 2 years, and they were so excited. ⁠

Wednesday was a great day of moving compost, building up our pathways in the herb garden with pea stone (making the herb garden more accessible), weeding, building up the potato beds, pruning oregano, and much more.⁠

We are so happy they choose our community farm!⁠

This event is bringing the community to Newhall Fields at Tillie’s Farm in support of community-based farming and regenerative agriculture, which nourishes the Earth, and feeds neighbors in need with 80% of food grown donated to local emergency food providers and distributed through our farm-to-family programs.

This event also supports the arts through dancing for community-building and positive eco-social impact. I hope you will join us. Clink the link in our bio .

This group volunteered their time to help us weed our garlic beds and harvest our kale / Rainbow chard for the first time this season.

CoolBot is installed! Thank you @ybnorthshore for all your hard work. We Still can’t believe this install happened in one day 🙌

In September 2021 our community helped us raise funds for this CoolBot and because of you we are now able to increase the amount of food we grow and reach more families.

The ability to have a temperature-controlled unit at the farm to keep produce fresh while we work to distribute it throughout our community is so huge

Our volunteers worked on clearing leaves from beds this weekend 💪They made sure to repurpose the leaves in other places on the farm.

💫 Did you know leaves can help soil keep in moisture, they also help feed worms and can help keep weeds at bay.
